In Honor of and Memorial Gifts
Hillel Yeshiva gratefully accepts gifts made in honor of or in memory of a loved one.
When making a gift as a memorial to someone, simply address the envelope:

Include a note with the following information:
Name of the deceased and date of death.
Name of the surviving widow, widower, or family member to whom notice of this gift should be sent.
Name, address and amount of each donation included in the envelope.
Telephone number of the principal donor, in case there are any questions.
A memorial card is then sent to the surviving family mentioning the name and address of the donor, but not the amount of the gift.
When making a gift in honor of a person or an event (such as a birthday, anniversary, retirement, etc.), simply address the envelope:

Include a note with the following information:
Name and address of the person(s) to be honored, and the event (if there is to be one) for which he/she/they are being honored
Telephone number of the person to be contacted, in case there are any questions.
The honoree will be notified of the gift via either a card noting the name and address of the donor (but not the amount of the gift) or a letter.
